This is our latest labor of love: a red oak portable desk with a Minwax Colonial stain, this really makes the wood grain just pop and brings all the beauty of the wood out where you can see it. We call this style the " Riverside" the artwork "Jumping Brown" is hand drawn, colored and woodburned and then we finished it with 4 coats of Minwax clear satin polyurethane. Between each coat we sanded it lightly with 320 grit sandpaper so it has a silky smooth finish. We also fully line the bottom of the bench with a thick green felt nap to keep it on your lap or from scratching desktops!

Arrow Holder "Stalking"

We are working on our next project, "Stalking" is an arrow holder for recurve and compound bows. Its a bit tall for crossbow arrows; 20" arrows sit in it with the bottom of the fletching rubbing the top edge..not good for accuracy if it alters the fletching so we'll be working on a shorter version for those arrows.

Red Oak Organizer Tray

Dave's latest accessory for your fly benches. Nice little organizer for all your packets. Great for taking along your favorite fly tying materials for fishing trips or to keep on your bench to keep things handy. Send us a picture of your favorite fly and we'll hand draw, color and woodburn the image on the front of the organizer..included with tray. We also fully line the bottom of the trays with a thick green felt nap to protect your bench!(accessories shown with benches not included)

Red Oak Fly Tying Bench w Rainbow Trout

Red Oak bench we just finished up, all solid oak dowelled, sanded and glued by hand. The image is hand drawn, woodburned and colored by our in house artisan before it's polyurethaned with 4 coats of Minwax clear satin with a light sanding using 320 between coats for a good durable finish. We've also lined the entire bottom with a thick nap of green felt to keep it in your lap or to prevent marring desktops.

Fly Tying Bench

Turkey Creek Woodworks' basic portable fly tying bench with dedicated single row spool and tool racks, a large work area and an optional book rack. The one shown is made of birch..we'll be adding new styles to our site soon so check back in a couple of weeks.
